**spoilers**
This movie was EXACTLY what an R-rated "Goosebumps" would be. I seriously had to check to make sure R.L. Stine wasn't the director. In just 77 minutes this movie crams in werewolves, vampires, 8 vombie ghosts of mentally challanged kids (their parents paid the bus drive to drive the short bus over a cliff), a serial killing principal, and a potatoe sack wearing child monster that is literally a pumpkin. I seriously felt stupider for watching this. For example, a "victim" is attacked by the potatoe-sack-pumpkin-monster. This guy gets a hell of a beating! He has his ankle slashed, he falls down a flight of stairs and into several razor blades/needles/glass, he gets a pretty severe beating from pumpkin kid, a razor through the foot, AND his arm broken. But then he gives the pumpkin monster a Snickers bar and it goes away. That was bad enough BUT it gets WORST! Right after the attack, some trick -r- treaters come to the "victims" door and he answers wearing head to toe bandages. WTF?
There is nothing positive to be said about this movie. There is no gore or gruesome death scenes (mostly because all the victims are children.) The acting is comical, the graphics are cheesy, and the plot is like a puzzle that is missing half the pieces.
BOTTOM LINE: This movie is just downright stupid.
THERE IS A REASON WHY THIS MOVIE TOOK 2 YEARS TO GET RELEASED STRAIGHT TO DVD. |
