Finally, a good horror movie...

By no means is Trick r Treat an astounding horror film, but its flaws are few and far between. Nonetheless, the movie is very enjoyable and I hope sales go well for it.
There are two points I want to get across immediately. First off, the movie is split into four tales told simultaneously, so it will get confusing, but know that the premise of the plot is that in some town where Halloween is taken very seriously, some of the townsfolk have been breaking the rules set forth by the Celtic tribes of Scotland and Ireland, all of which, the Celts believed, protected us mortals from the supernatural on the night known as All Hallow's Eve, aka, Halloween.
Second, seeing as that Sam is the spirit of Halloween, he is a Jack-o-Lantern (which is not a pumpkin but an evil spirit with the head of one), and even though he disguises himself as a kid in a costume, he's still quite strong and cannot die.
Another thing. The easiest way to connect all the deaths is to pay attention to the details, very the dialogue to flashbacks.
I'm sad it didnt see the light of cinema, but its definitely worth watching. |
