I am a fan of Simon Pegg. Shaun of the Dead, and Hot Fuzz are perhaps two of the funniest movies I have seen which I can watch over and over again. So I had to see this movie, and I can say that I did like it, and I laughed alot, especially the fight scene, one of the best. But what was disappointing was the all to familiar movie "formula" that seems to be in all American films. There was the "down-and-out" scene, "lost my girl" scene, etc, all complete with the appropriate moody music. I thought it was odd that this would appear in a british comedy until I realized David Schwimmer directed the movie. Still, I do recommend this movie, and would watch maybe once or twice again, but not over and over like Hot Fuzz. |
