This film has not really done anything new, fresh, or even classic as far as horror. It is like an ill, patched-together mess of "The Ring", "Friday the 13th", and "28 Days Later".

The basic plot is that a family moves into an inherited house in the hills of Addytown, and not too far from them is a mine where 20-some children were killed.

Warning: -SPOLERS FROM THIS POINT ON-

The confusion lies somewhere near the climax of the film. When Karen and Sarah are looking for Emma, they are chased by the zombies and run to Harold's house. After running in and locking the door, Harold tells them that the animal blood on the door won't do any good after the zombies are riled up and also says that Emma is safe with the zombies because they do not harm their next of kin. But earlier that same night, when Sarah was with her friends in the car, she was attacked along with them and was nearly killed.

Also, after Harold, Karen, Sarah, and Carlton run into the barn, Carlton runs up the stairs to the top floor. When the zombies come through the barn doors, the other three stay completely still after Harold says, "Don't move a muscle; they won't bother with ya, they just want him (Carlton)." The zombies brush past them, go up the stairs, and chop Carlton up into squishy bits.

Yeah. They were just trying to kill Carlton; they never meat to kill anyone else... supposedly.

The end of the film shows Harold after he boards up the old Tunny house. We look inside the house, up the stairs, into a bedroom, and see Mary with Emma's teddy bear (they traded; Mary gave Emma her old doll, and Emma gave her teh teddy bear), as she sits on the bed. We then see one of her zombie brothers close the bedroom door, and there is where it ends.

If their desire was to kill Carlton, why wouldn't their souls have been able to rest in peace? Where did the other zombie children go? How do the Tunny zombie children expect to live if they don't have anything to eat? How did the zombie children get out of the mine in the first place, especially Mary, without broken bones, deformities, or no limbs?

Another question would be why are they using mining tools to kill if they just can rip the flesh off with their hands?

I would only recommend this film to those of you who are into horror movies for the gore.

Films you should see if you like zombies are the aforementioned "28 Days Later", "Night of the Living Dead", and the horror-comedy "Shaun of the Dead".
