Just got back from seeing this run-of-the-mill 2 hour music video. I am a big Stones fan, but this movie did nothing for me except lighten my wallet.
I was hoping for more of a documentary style, behind the scenes approach. It did begin that way but soon moved straight to just another concert movie.
After about an hour I found myself looking at the other patrons in the theater more than the screen.
The combination of The Stones and Martin Scorsese definitely did not live up to the hype.
Compared to the classic "Gimme Shelter", this is a flop. |
