I'm a vet and around since Vietnam, I think younger people seem to have no recollection that the greed and corruption witnessed everyday is not the standard. If Bush and cronies would have been trying to pull this crap 20 years ago they would have been hanged at a war crimes trial.
Most (not all, most) are younger people are apathetic and don't give a damn about anything as long as it doesn't delay the delivery of the next game for their PS3. I think the makers /writers /etc of this flick finally found a way to get it out to people just how unbelievably corrupt this govt is, and I think taking this chance is not only entrepreneurial (I hope they make many millions), but was a political risk.
If Bush and Cheeney were in an American neighborhood shooting kids on tricycles in the head, the Neocons would still find a way to rationalize how the kids somehow deserved it. They will no doubt be slamming this review, but they are the real enemy to this country. Until the press is free again (it's not, its all Pravda and owned by Murdoch), and the people care about the gov't again, it's just going to get worse.
A great movie that will hopefully open some eyes as well as making you laugh like hell. |
