Sitting there watching the film, my initial impression was that it was an American version of "Man Bites Dog." But I gave the movie a chance because it doesn't have an A list actor in it.
The film isn't cheesy and the bottom line is that it works. Wes Bentley does a fine job portraying his character, especially as the story continues to develop.
I rated it an A, not for story/acting but for the fact that it's an indie film that is entertaining, was made on a limited budget(no advertising), and it managed not to be an American version of "Man Bites Dog." |
