when going to the movies, one might expect to be either scared, pumped, poked fun at, or just simply entertained. this movie broke free of the usual and brought us a story that told of the kind of love that you may find in everyday situations. the acting was amazing (dane cook was more than the shallow funny man) and the direction of the movie bent the mind. this movie will change your views on love and the way it moves from person to person. The visuals put the watcher in a small quaint cabin in the middle of paradise. the constant struggle with his daughters and family gave Steve Carrel's character a heart as well as a soul. i do not write this review because i love Steve Carrell's work, worship Dane Cook, or was just extremely bored.... i wrote this because i thought that movie goers needed a break from the mundane reality that is "going to the movies". so break away, grab a friend, and go see this movie. |
