This movie is one of the better movies i have seen this year. It is about a rancher, played by Bale, whom is struggling financially. He is having trouble making payments to the people he owes money too and too take care of his family. When an outlaw, played by Crowe, gets caught and needs transported, Bale's character volunteers because he needs the money. While transporting Crowe to the trainstation to send him off to Yuma prison, Bale and the others have to evade Crowe's men, who have come to free him and make sure he doesn't go to Yuma. Along the way a lot of interesting twists and turns take place in the story which i thought we great. I am a sucker for a good story with twisits and turns. I thought the acting was very good especially from the person who plays one of Crowe's men who has come to free him (he played the kid in the punisher with all the piercings, cant remember his name). I thought the directing and the overall feel to this movie were very good also. There are a couple of slow parts, but this is a good movie. It is not as good as Unforgiven, but it is still a very worthy movie. I don't think this is for everyone though, but if you like a good story then you won't be disappointed. |
