the richard donner cut does have new scenes and really good ones at that, but the original version was better. the richard donner cut was nothing but the scenes that were filmed by richard donner put into the movie. my problem with this movie is that it was way to short. when they show the scenes from richard lesters version, the scenes are moving at a faster pace and it feels like watching the TV version of superman 2 (when i say TV, i mean that they cut it for less time) and i am sad to say it was rather dissapointing. a good edition to superman but dissapointing and good cut. they did make a good effort being that superman 2 and superman returns were the only good movies in the whole series. |
