Once you gain some knowledge about the Chinese culture at that time, you will find it is a great movie! This classic story is written by a very famous writer and is based on a true event. Ang Lee presents this whole story beautifully. Tony Leung does a great job interpreting a traitor of China; you can also see the emotion changes of Mr. Yee and Mak Tai tai through many small details. A very touching movie, a must see!! |
