Another film that had pleased pretty much all over the world except US critics. Even though reviews are meant to be subjective, I am really disppointed in big critics like New York Times rated this film C-. It makes me think that they don't understand foreign films at all.
It might be long for people who don't watch 2+ hrs film that often, but the beautiful details in the movie should be good enough to keep people staying in their seat. It's sensational and powerful, another master piece from Ang Lee. Tang Wei is a very talented new star and Tony Leung is fabulous as usual, it's a bright combination. |
