The humor vs pain in this movie can be hard for some to take. At the theater where I saw it there were gasps, laughter, and, strangely applause.
While uneven, the acting was great even if at times the story bordered on outright weirdness and redneck scariness. In the end, a loving woman two doors down saves the day and the movie. I liked it, but this is not for the weak of spirit. This not reality, this is a dark/humor statement. If you are weak in the knees, you may buckle under. . . which is the point. |
