The Strangers was one of THE BEST scariest movies I have seen in a long long time!
I didn't expect this movie to be any different than any other cookie cutter slasher/scary movie out there. But this one took me by surprise & by that I mean it scared the crap out of me!!!
The entire theater was silent as the movie began. There was plenty of suspenseful moments and scenes that would make even the most hardcore scary movie watcher (ME!)scream out loud like a little girl in the theatre (i have NEVER screamed in a movie theatre...EVER!!!)
There were no special efx. Even the music didn't give away "jump" scenes like most scary movies do(not that i even remember there being much music.)
While there wasn't much of an actual story-line or plot. There didn't need to be. The movie was about how completely random an act of violence could be.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who loves to be scared and who can appreciate a movie that leaves you thinking about it long after its over...I have chills even now...and I probably won't be sleeping tonight! So I'm putting on a pot of coffee and watching infommercials... |
