I really enjoyed this movie. I am extremely conservative and although I read that others found it to be a piece of propaganda from Leftist Hollywood I did not see it that way. As in many cases, behind every successful man is a woman and in this case Charlie is a Dixiecrat and the woman is a Republican. Of course it was embellished its Hollywood but even if half of this story was true it was pretty impressive. I think the story was smart, funny, and interesting. Even my husband who says he is right of Genghis Kahn enjoyed this movie. If anything it has aroused my interest in the topic of the Afghan & Soviet war and it will cause me to research to find out what was real and what the embellishment were. |
