The best film I've seen all year, and I've seen so many.
You feel an overwhelming connection with the main character, not so much in an informal aspect (like something of familiarity or understanding),but in a sense of intrusive abduction, you are consumed by the characterization. The movie becomes a portal into this character in such a way that any producer/director/actor can ever hope achieve to any audience, and that mastery is owed to the movie's straight forward yet poetic cinematography, the human yet extraordinary situation of the character, dialogue that captures attention in such away you can not dare miss a single word.
A french movie that as you look back on it, it seems as though you have seen it in English, because you can not help but feel completely saturated in emotion without noticing you are reading subtitles. The raw emotion that EVERY single actor exhibited keeps you in such awe you may not realize that you don't speak French. The acting is truly that magnificent.
I will not tell you a thing about the plot nor can I imagine any significance it will have to describing the magnificent performance that I have seen. I can say however it has been a long time since I have seen almost every person in the theater sit and stay throughout the credits, not because of their curiosity at the cast and crew, but I imagine like me, They were left |
