No Country for Old Men, the Coen Bros.' latest, is a perfect film. But I have to say, THE DIVING BELL AND THE BUTTERFLY tops it. It is THE best film of the decade. Beautifully realized, amazingly captured, with a searing score and an excellent story. It captivated me months ago in France at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival, and it's impression is still felt. A true modern masterpiece in every sense of the word. |
