It does not matter if Jesus was black, white hispanic, chinese, japanese. The main point in this movie is his race. That is blasphemy. You have completely missed the meaning of Jesus Christ and the crucifixon by making his race the main focus and to say that Jesus was persecuted because he was black. In the movie there is the line "are they doing this because he is black?" That is the most obsured thing I have ever heard. People all over the world are persecuted because of their race. I hate to break the news to you, but there is nothing more special about one race to another. Everyone has been subject to slavery, everyone has been subject to mass murdering, everyone has been wronged. We are all related in the eyes of Christ. You are my brother and you are my sister. God doesn't want you to focus on what race Christ was, we know he was Jew, whether that mean a dark skin Jew or a light skin Jew it does not matter. Christ was not on earth to fight against racism, he was here to fight against all sin, great and small. He died for our sins, and though he died for the sin that you have committed making this movie, it is still not right. How about we do not portray Christ at all in Movies other than through his word, and principles so that there is no way anyone can miscontrue the movie as racist. Why does it matter if the family in the movie is black or white these days? Because of sin. The sin of jealousy. In order to break the cycle of racism, you have to let go of the wrongs in the past and do not continue to stir the pot by trying to make a point that is irrelevant to Christ. "Vengence is Mine" sayetht the Lord. Make saving souls your focus and not saving dollars. As Christians we are to carry the good news to those who have not heard. This movie does not do so as the focus was on race. The title says it all. COLOR of the Cross. If you had named the movie something different, and if the line "are they doing this because he is black" was not in it, you may have gotten a little close to The Passion of Christ. Now you are just portraying the devils message to the world. The message of keeping wrong doings, being jealous, being petty, seperation, racism, and most of all you are teaching avoidance of the true meaning behind the final hours and of our Lord Jesus Christ! Repent. Know the word, keep the word, speak the word. Love as Christ and not as a black, japanses, chinese, white, hispanic man. Forget about your own race and focus on the word, God and Christs principles. No where in the bible does it say to worry about what color Christ's skin was. It is riddiculous to even do so. Christ is not about a color, He is about salvation and you should be about glorifying His Name and portraying His love and keeping his cmmandments. Stop the Racism, love as Christ loved! |
