Do NOT watch if you've read the book!

I finished the book three days before the movie came out, so it was still quite fresh in my mind.

The movie seriously disappointed me. It was boring enough to have several people walk out during the middle of it.

As excited as I was to see the movie, I was tempted to walk out as well, but didn't since I was with three other people.

This movie practically rapes the book. The book is so much better written, and I really wish the movie had followed the same direction, and not changed SO much!

Why would Henry RAPE Anne if he was so much in love with her that he would abandon his Queen for her?

What happened to Mary's daughter?

What happened to Mary's relationships? SHE is the "other" Boleyn girl, but they didn't focus much on her life at all.

Anne never told Henry to never speak to Mary again. Henry did not ignore his children with Mary.

Why did they remove George's sexuality?

Why did they make Anne and George decide not to have sex?

Why did they have the king lead Mary on to believe that Anne would be spared?

What happened to the merriment of the court? The importance of Anne's upbringing in a french court? The type of headdress she wore?

Why was she sent to France, and why only for a couple of months??

Why was Queen Katherine such a small character in the movie? Why was she portrayed as someone so plain when she was supposed to be quite beautiful? They didn't show her having a lot of compassion, either, nor did they show any of her relationship with Mary?

Why did Anne and Mary's mother become so compassionate herself? She was portrayed as if she actually CARED what happened to her daughters in the movie, which is a FAR cry from the way her character was written in the book!

George's wife - they made her into such a boring character... gah.

I could go on, and on, and on...

Needless to say, the movie put the book to shame. It is awful to think that people may believe the book was terrible after seeing such a mediocre film. :/
