Houdini For Insomniacs

First you get the idea to make a movie about a fictional event in Harry Houdini's life, you cast with some pretty good actors such as Guy Pearce and Catherine Zeta Jones, and then you make it as boring as possible. This could have been an entertaining film, but instead presents the viewers with more plot holes than a swiss cheese. Does the mother resent the daughter? What was the root of Houdini's obsession with his own mother. Houdini's wife is referred to as more of a sister? All there, all touched on, and not explored. What a waste. |
