A must see for the avid alien saga fan. They stick to the lore rather well with one exception which I will get into later. The plot is an almost direct rip of the original Aliens. The movie starts off slow but once the action picks up it doesn't stop till the end. As for what they changed when it comes to lore, drones have never had the ability to impregnate a host, yet they made so that the predalien could. None of the predaliens in any of the novels or videogames was ever able to do that. As for someone commenting about the aliens taking on the shape of their host? Ummm....they've ALWAYS done that, read some books dude, lol. Some people may find the movie too dark, I had no problems whatsoever watching any part of the movie, they've also complained about the fight scenes between the aliens and predator as being " too fast ", I also did not encounter any problems following the action. If you were sitting too close to the screen then maybe I can see where following the action would be a problem, this of course is not the movie's fault, it's your own. Get to the theater earlier and get a better spot. Last but not least, they kinda left it open for a part 3, I'm hoping that if they do, they finally make a movie that is actually like the lore, whereas it's sometime in the future and all three races duke it out equally. |
