Absolutely terrible

I dont care if I spoil the movie for you, I am doing you a favor by saving you the money. This movie is beyod horrendous. The best parts of the movie are in the first 2 minutes...thats it. Its starts off interesting with the alien bursting out of the predators body but it goes down hill from there. So the spaceship crashes in colorado and the last surviving predator is able to send a distress signal off...okay, sounds good. back on the home world, a predator gets the message and gets all fired up and looks like he is gonna do damage control and clean up the mess. Of course, so the best option is to GO ALONE?!?!?!? No squad, or platoon, just by himself? So he heads off to earth, meanwhile, people are starting to get infected by the aliens and all of them are bursting out all over the place and mayhem ensues. Not cool mayhem, just your cliche' mayhem that you have seen a million times before, you know, dark place, person walks in alone and all of a sudden the alien is behind them to jab them in the face with their face d**k. Yeeeeah. This happens about 20 more times. The main characters...who cares, you really dont care if they die or live. The acting was terrible, really on level with B movie acting, at best. The predator arrives on earth and given his rambo ego of going alone, you would think he was a bada***, he isnt. He gets whooped over and over again and he cant hit anything with his weapons. he must be the worst shot ever because he only hits like 5% of the time. He chases and misses about 20 more times as well. He also uses this magic blue liquid that he keeps in a 6 oz bottle but never runs out of as he covers the evidence of the aliens...why? He wants to cover up the evidence but then skins people alive to draw more attention from the people... So the main characters face a junction point where they split off into two groups, one goes to the center of the town, the other, to the hospital for the chopper. yes, a chopper. near the end, the kid actually say "get to the chopper" ala Arnold, it was really lame. Of course the dumb towns people goto the center of town to get a Nuke dropped on their heads. While the hospital group fight their way through aliens to get to the roof. of course, their is a final predator main alien battle. Why is the main alien a hybrid now. Stupid. The main alien has dreads now like the predator, its really ridiculous. The battle turns into an ultimate fighting bout, why is the alien punching like he knows karate? i think i may have seen a leg sweep in there as well. Either way, the predator ends up losing his fancy gun which falls in the hands of one of the humans who proceeds to have more success shooting aliens with it than the predator. They got to the chopper, a nuke explodes on the town, and everyone survives the chopper crash from the nuclear blast, yes, even the brother who was IMPALED by an alien tail. AMAZING. the mother seems to forgotten that her husband was eaten by an alien, the daughter doesnt seem to care either, the impaled kid looks fine except for bed head. What in the world...
No, the ending is the best, so the army finds them and takes the predators weapon, the government spooks take it to this random asian chick who says "the world isnt ready for this technology"...huh? Who the hell are you and why do you know what this technology is and that the world isnt ready for it??????
And the movie ends.
Terrible on all fronts. 2nd worst movie I have seen in theaters, lady in the water being 1st, golden compass being 3rd, formerly 2nd until this crapper came out. |
