My favorite move of 2007... Smith does a great job acting, the story is entertaining (though some won't fancy the sci-fi), and it was surprisingly scary at several different moments...
Some people won't like this movie, but the bulk of the audience in the midnight showing I went to thought it was worth a round of applause at the end (can't recall the last time that had happened).
The best part about the movie was Smith's dog Sam. Their relationship is what keeps the movie going in the first half hour or so...But the movie does an interesting job of being not only a science fiction, but a horror and at times an action movie...
