Expecting a lofty art film I was surprised to find myself caring about the characters in The Fall and stunned by the beauty of the cinematography. The little girl in the film WILL make you giggle and wish for childhood again; if even for one small moment. It never down-played to my intelligence which I hate in movies today and the main story line was peeled slowly throughout the film allowing me to sink deeper into the movie and actually invest my attention and my emotion little by little until the end. With all its dreamlike visuals & breathtaking vistas it reminded me how movies SHOULD be. With its minimal special effects (if any) and its original story The Fall created a perfect story telling vehicle filled with grandeur, action, and heart. I absolutely loved it. |
