A human story beautifully told

This movie is a rich tapestry interweaving as it does the principal character's nostalgia for Bangladesh and her life in London's East End. The acting was subtle and nuanced and the characters all genuinely interesting - espcially the man who played the husband.
I expected more to be made of the racism in the area, but it was only on the screen very briefly. This is really a story of one woman's journey and her growth as a human being.
And it is wonderful. |
