I saw this movie in the Washington DC area two days ago. It is probably the best documentary I have ever seen even if it is the most shocking. It does not make any editorial comments. It Just interviews all sides of this debate and graffically shows everything including an actual abortion, a dead nude woman who bled to death from doing her own abortion in a motel room with a coat hanger, and why it is so dangerous to have an abortion from anyone but a trained doctor. It also showed dead doctors who had been shot and killed by unstable time bomb people who had been pumped up and excited by fundamentalist preachers like Randal Terry. Twenty years ago a former Florida mayor, who wasn't the brightest dog in the litter, said that we may some day have a civil war over abortion. I thought he was on another planet at the time. This movie says the same thing. Maybe the mayor was right. |
