Honestly, I for whatever reason, had medium expectations for this movie, reason being Justin Long and Vince Vaughn were in it. Boy was a completely dissapointed. To start, the theater was completely empty, minus a few poor souls in the back row who probably saw the potential for a funny movie, especially with the above mentioned actors being involved with it. Well first of all, Vaughn didn't do jack ***** in the movie, he just introduced comedians, who were medicore at best. The Italian guy wasn't very funny at all, his material was basically jumping and dancing until people felt sorry for him and laughed. The Arab guy basically took advantage of an American tragedy, constantly repeated how he gets hassled at airports and security, which btw seems funny the first time u hear it, but u can see he really has no other material to talk about and people give him cheap laughs. The fat guy has to swear to keep his jokes even slightly entertaining, and the model wannabe comes off as someone who seems to think he doesn't need material to be funny, but sadly even material from the greatest comedians in the world couldn't save his performance. I really don't understand the point of this movie, besides wasting my money, and Justin Long proved he isn't ready for big time, as he was shaking on stage. And aside from the horrible comedians, the rest was boring documentary about the comedians. This film would've been turned down by HBO, I don't know how it made theaters. |
