The movie started a bit slow, and I was concerned at the beginning. But as soon as the video tapes get erased and they begin remaking them, it really takes off. It was consistently entertaining after that. Jack Black is hilarious, but Mos Def and Melonie Diaz are also very funny without being "wacky." Mia Farrow, however, seemed like she was acting in a different, more inspirational movie. The ending was touching without being sappy.
I liked the way the film captured the everyday life of regular people while still being funny and interesting. |
