I am confused. This movie is clearly billed and marketed as a silly little kids movie, meant to entertain kids under 12. It totally delivers on it's billing, and even managed to entertain me--a college educated professional with an advanced degree. My husband, a no-nonsense tax attorney, managed to enjoy it as well, as did our two boys, ages 9 and 12, and our two attorney friends and their five children, ages 6-16. We bought our tickets and entered the theater expecting exactly what we got--a little bit of entertainment that was suitable to the tastes and appropriate for the values of all of our children. I don't understand the rather pompous "reviews" here that seem to completely miss the fact that this is a little kids' movie. Very odd.... |
