Great book, Terrible movie

I thought the book was suprisingly amazing, very amazing. It shocked me to the end.
But a..., the movie wasnt very good. Bad acting, very mixed(who wants to see a movie with two good actors and like, 100 bad ones?)
And the action was like, hmm, not very good, extremely messy, and not enjoyable.
The story was about the same as the book, besides a few added scenes, and a few taken out. A few of the scenes that I liked in the book were sadly taken out.
The best scene in the movie was the very end, and that only lasted about 5mins.
For the conclusion: don't pay for a movie ticket to this. If you are a big fan of the book, by all means go ahead. Because it was kinda cool to see this story come to life In big screen(I am still a huge Ted Dekker fan)
But if not, just wait for the dvd, or wait for the movie to come to the Sci-fi station. Most of these movies usually do.
Dear Ted... you have the stories, but not director, or actors for this movies of yours.
... To bad, I think it could have been great.. |
