Don't believe EVERYTHING the critics say

The Critics may be right about some things, but this isn't as bad of a movie as they make it out to be. First off, let me say that this book was amazing, and Ted Dekker is a very talented author. The movie, although not as great, was not bad either. I went in to it with very low expectations because I heard it was so bad, but determined to see it anyway cause I liked the book so much. It could've had some better actors, and they did a bad job editing the movie--some parts were choppy and some music didn't fit, and some of the effects weren't the best, but the twist was good, and Marc Blucas does a decent job acting, especially at the end, where he gives a really good performance in the conclusion. I encourage you to give this movie a chance. If not, then read Dekker's books and send him some money so he will have a better movie budget, cause he has an amazing mind and all his books could be made into amazing movies if they had a lot higher budget and more popular actors, actresses, editors, and directors, but they did a fine job for the resources they had and they deserve credit. |
