I saw this movie last night, primarily because I played soccer in high school and college. I expected the theater to be filled with junior high and high school kids, but surprisingly it was an adult audience.
One of the most unexpected results of the movie was how the story draws you in, and you just are rooting for a positive outcome. It's been a long time since I've been to a movie where the audience literally cheers out loud and claps at the good moments, which added immensely to the movie.
Overall the story was a good one. Yes, there's "girl power" but more important is the story of how a family recovers from a tragedy and ultimately pulls together around their daughter's spirit.
