Well written with a neer-see-it-coming ending.

Written like the best of Golden Age SciFi, this movie relies on creativity and plot to move it along. The story is not to formula and the climax is certainly not what one would expect. Guess as you like, you will still be surprised.
The dialogue is clean and crisp, sounding real as opposed to styleized. The charaters are thee not to be forces for themselves and their own advancement but as mechanisms of the plot and action. And the plot moves forward in a way that is easy to follow but, never-the-less, grasps the viewer.
This may not have you on the edge of your seat, but manages a quiet, intelligent suspense.
Done without the benefit or need of special effects, bluescreens or any tricks, this movie is a delight for any age. it is bound to develop a cult following.
There are a few continuity problems, like any film. But the few there are, and there are fewer than most films, are, in themselves, as quirky as the film itself and, far from detracting from the experience, actually gave us a few moments of delight in a film that, overall, was a joy to watch.
Believe me, we need more movies like "I'll Believe You." |
