Great Movie With More Than You Think.....

I just saw this movie and it was really good. Enough action with a tight, smoothly unfolding story. Enough character development to keep you feeling connected. Finely acted, directed and shot. This movie is a lot more than the story of Frank Lucas, a small town NC guy who was deeply inspired (you can imagine in what way) to be somebody, someday. There is also the story of Richie Roberts, a bright and very decent cop, his determination and quest for the truth is almost contagious. It was great how the movie interwined these two characters together. Two very different men on two very different paths who would ultimately meet, but not without good reason. Go see this movie. I would be recommend younger kids <13 stay at home. There are some extremely violent scenes and literally tons of drugs around the movie along with some light nudity. Enjoy and see that crime really doesn't really pay. |
