Surprisingly Amazing

I say surprisingly, because there are no critic reviews (as of this posting) of this movie. I would have thought this to be a contender for an Academy award (Best Foreign Film). Here is the scoop....
The movie is shot in Germany with German history involved. The story is told wonderfully of a young girl in prison that has a secret as a wonderful pianist. The 80 year old prison piano teacher, who has a few secrets of her own, discovers this talent and is able to identify her past through the young prisoner..sounds boring?? Wrong!
The music is inspirational as well as the story and really is a surprise find for anyone that stumbles upon it. The DVD cover offers many German based awards and they should be taken sincerely. As a fan of movies where the underdog shines, this was a treat. I highly recommend this movie to anyone that enjoys a romantic relationship film between the watcher and the actors. Simply brilliant!! |
