I rented this because I LOVE Dushku, and she did very well in this. Culkin wasn't given a chance, but Dziena could have done more with her role. But, the script was poor and the direction was terrible. It was another move by film students.. for film students. Lots of footage shot out car windows, long scenes with music playing in the background, and long sequences with no dialog. The topic was dark, powerful, and could have made some strong points. The movie should have made me think, but it just made me sad (that I rented it). All the male characters were jerks (in the typical LA portrayal of men) so you could not identify with or understand any of the characters. If you are a narcissist or know any you MIGHT enjoy this movie. The rest of you should pass (unless you just MUST see Dushku). |
