This was a rather intriguing film, with brilliant performances from everyone involved. This is the kind of daring picture we do not get very often, with Hollywood often playing it very safe. It can be said that this film offers tons of intrigue, suspense, and dare I say Romance?
In the film we find the mother whose love for her son, goes through some disturbing lengths, all leading to the tragic end of the movie.
The characters are very well fleshed out and almost made to feel human. The direction for this very dark tone was great, the director never once cheats the audience of tries to play it Hollywood, its a daring film that will be argued about for years to come.
Overall, the film handled the strong subject matter in a graceful way, and was very surprisingly good. |
