So, for all you haters out there that think this is just a cheap knock off of that movie with a certain title character who likes to take his bike off of "sweet ramps"... you're probably right. But that doesn't mean that Hot Rod is not it's superior in many ways. A.) It knows it's a dumb comedy filled with sight gags and dumb jokes, and it's okay with that. B.)It treats it's character more like real people and less like characatures in a cartoon that you're simply meant to laugh at. AND, C.) it's got Isla Fisher from 'Wedding Crashers' who is just hot no matter what movie she's in.
Did I mention it was funny? This movies got many things similar to Napoleon Dynamite, only funnier and less dry. The story doesn't try to do too much, and it achieves it's main goal, entertain the audience and send everyone home with a smile on their face, and a chuckle in their heart. awwww |
