Do you like non-stop action, adventure and drama? If you do, then this is a movie you must see!
First the acting is almost perfect. Mark Wahlberg, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Rhonda Mitra, et al, do a very good job of performing their respective roles. Secondly, Antonio Fuqua, the director does an excellent job of directing and lifting a mediocre script into an above-average, almost perfect movie.
The storyline is old ( please see theatrical trailers and clips), but is nevertheless very entertaining because of the manner in which it is presented.
In a nutshell, "our hero" (Mark Wahlberg)is framed for attempting to assassinate the President of the United States and after surviving being shot and almost murdered himself, with the help of the widow of his best friend, he then goes out to clear his name and get a little revenge in the process.
Two thumbs up! Enjoy this well-executed thriller! |
