I watched this movie at the E Street Cinema in Downtown DC. Everyone in the theater was probably an art major at some time in their lives. But that's a tangent. This movie was a GREAT flick. I enjoyed seeing Ian Curtis grow up from a young social worker of sorts to becoming the frontman of an incredibly influential band. Although I am not very familiar with Joy Division, I enjoyed the movie's storytelling technique and the fact that the whole movie was in black and white. I think the movie was filmed in a very "photographic" way, which makes it more romantic and nostalgic. I really loved it, thumbs up!! |
