It was a good attempt but it wasn't anything new. in my opinion there wasn't enough character development to help the viewer become more attached to the characters. there were many parts that were irrelevant to the story and the director should have used that time to help bring out the character's backround a bit more.
The actors overall did a good job. There was even a spoof on capt. jack sparrow from the pirates of the caribbean movies.
The direction of the movie was to linear. There wasn't any thing new. There were no plot twists and or surpising elements. To me it felt like the movie was squashing a bunch of information and events into about a 2 hour period.
The visuals were pretty nice but brief. There wasn't enough color variation to give it the affect like HERO or CTHD.
Overall the movie wasn't an epic but is still a decent movie. A good friday night movie. But the movie had so much more potential. |
