I will never listen to "The Carpenters" the same again...
This movie definitely delivers some tense moments. And, it doesn't take a long time to get into the hotel room 1408. I liked how they intertwined the lead character's personal story into his experience in the hotel room. They don't waste time setting up the movie with background information. Bravo! The movie reminds me of 1982's "Poltergeist". It didn't need to rely on slashing bodies and blood gushing everywhere. 1408 is definitely a "classy" horror film. If you liked to be scared but not grossed out, check into 1408. |
