Just saw the movie 1408.
I doubt many people will be reading this, but I really wish that movie had gotten more promotion. It's too bad, really, it's probably one of my more favorite movies. Just wanting to spread the word. It's good. Go see it!
What it is:
It's based on a short story by Stephen King. Yeah, it's that kind of movie. The short story in the book, Everything’s Eventual, wasn't phenomenal, it was okay.
But the movie is something you should get into. It was brilliant, and John Cusack does a pretty good job of playing a man losing his mind to the evils of room 1408.
I enjoyed every bit of that movie, and it's so much more that the slasher "horror" flicks we see today. This movie had some good thrills and was well put together and executed.
It's almost amazing how clausterphobic you feel, trapped in the room with John Cusack's character.
The ending was best of all, but I don't want to ruin it for you. I really hope you see it for yourself and can get other people to see it. I'm not saying it's perfect, but I am saying that this is a great movie.
