An interesting topic but movie can be better

Hollywood should spend a lot of money to make people understand campus violence, which can be divided many parts. Both Virginia Tech and this one involve conflict between east and western culture.
Actually western directors are better in depicting psychology than chinese. However this is a chinese story. Thus this might be the difficulty they are reluctant to touch this subject.
However I think this is very important. Just avoiding is not smart. This movie should become more available to all people.
Why Liuye suffered so much that he wants to kill?
He is not a violent person.
A great movie should make insensible stuff reasonale, like"bicycle thief". In chinese students culture, especially 1980-1990, scores and honors mean everything for them. They can give up everything, food, sleep, sex. Also in china for some students they may be never mistreated. If you are young it happened to you once. You are immunized. You think about that and got conclusions. Actually this come to a fundamental thing in education or society. If unjustice happen to you what should you do. Shall you pursue violence?
There are so many bastards. They just use power in their hand to bully people. They should see this movie and be aware that they will be killed by what they do.
From the scope of the society they should provide more opportunities for people to survive. People can find a place to talk their troubles. |
