DARK MATTER is based on the true story of a disgruntled physics student from China who went on a shooting rampage and killed six people on the University of Iowa campus in 1991.
DARK MATTER was written and shot over 3 years ago, long before the horrific events of Virginia Tech or most recently the Northern Illinois killings.
I would cut the film makers, actors etc some slack. Films like this, if done right, can only help us better understand why these things happen.
Virginia Tech wasn't the 1st campus shooting and it won't be the last( I wish I was wrong ). Sticking our head in the sand is no way to learn from these past tragedies. |
