I like sweeping romatic movies- but this was just flat and pathetic. The movie begins reasonably, though the character of the younger sister is ridiculous- she presents as if she is an obnoxious autistic brat. As she is not supposed to be autistic- the acting and directing of her character is ridiculous. Regardless, the conflict is set up within the first 30 mins or so, and then the rest of the movie is pathetic. The would be resolution is dull and unimaginative, and then the big reveal at the end is basically the theatric equivalent of "only joking". Dull performances- pathetic portrayal of dunkirk- keira knightly has all the charisma of a dull rat- really nothing positive to say about this movie at all. |
