good idea but bad result

As seen in the trailer, this movie is about a plot to kill the president but told throught the eyes of all the major players involved (both the good guys and the bad guys). I thought the story was good for how short the movie was, they didnt really go into much detail or give any backstory about why people were doing what they were doing. The acting wasn't too bad either, there were a lot of good actors and actresses in here and they did a pretty decent job. My major problem was how this movie was shot and i blame the direction on that. When retelling the story in everyone's point of view, instead of doing something clever, all they did was rewind (literally) the story back to one specific time, each time. Honestly when they were doing that i was kind of annoyed because it was boring and wasn't very original. They way they shot the movie and told the story was just bad. The whole marketing of the movie is based on seeing the story from different people's point's of view and they could have made it a lot better. Aside from that huge flaw, in my opinion, there was a lot of good action and a really cool car chase scence at the end. I'd say go see it, but don't pay full price, go to a matinee. |
