A chilling true story which leaves the viewer disgusted with the arrogance and immorality of the very leadership which claims its authority comes directly from God. Compound that with the fact that the victims were the very ones who were the most vunerable because of their age, innocence, and trust. Their subsequent anquish is heartbreaking.
Amy Berg has scored a major coup in getting the defrocked O'Grady to speak candidly, revealing the innermost thoughts of a delusional psychopathic pedophile aided by a Church heirarchy blinded by its need to protect itself at any cost with the result that hundreds of lives have been shattered. The lack of remorse or concern of the annointed leaders is clearly displayed throughout the decades long lurid affair. A must-see film which could yet have seismic consequences at the highest levels because a few brave and honest souls subjected themselves to the torture of reliving their nightmare so others may not have to experience the same. |
