After reading a number of reviews from the various film critics, I was wary of how this film would play out in the theater. However, once again it appears that critics are more concerned with the art and less with the story and how it draws you in. Nativity draws the viewer in to experience the birth of Christ from the perspectives of Mary and Joseph in such a way that you will never forget it. Whether you are a Christian, were once a Christian, are Jewish or Muslim or some other religion, or even if you are a devout atheist or agnostic, you will appreciate and love this movie for the story, the visuals and the emotions. The lack of A-list celebs is a plus because you have no historical baggage to set aside with any of these actors and thus they truly embody their characters. A VERY pleasant surprise -- a can't miss this holiday season! |
