I will be the first to admit that I have a crude sense of humor and that I have a tendancy to find these types of movies entertaining. I saw this movie during a free screening at our local college, I must say the theatre was packed and everyone laughed the entire time. This is the first movie I have been to in a very long time where I pretty much didn't stop laughing. Even my more conservative friends thought it was just plain funny. I say go see it, if you generally like this type of movie then this one is a winner.
As far as some of the other reviews go, I just have to say, what is wrong with people out there? The majority of people that gave this movie a bad rating was simply because they didn't like the subject matter. Well if you don't like what it is about then why did you go see it in the first place. I strongly believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but come on saying that we are teaching America that it is okay to have sex before marrige and get pregnant just because of a movie is stupid. Movies do not teach people and if you think polpping your kid down in front of a movie is considered education then you my friend are not very smart. Those are the people who are going to hold their kids back so the kids end up going out and having sex just to get back at their parents. What everyone needs to do is stop complaining and realize that yes the world is changing and even though you may not like it, you have to learn to deal with it. People have sex, people will always have sex and we cannot prevent that or the outcome of that, all we can do is educate and hope that because of that sexual education we instilled in our children they will make the right choices. Face it they will do it whether you tell them to or not, if they have a solid knowledge of sex and the consequences and they trust you to talk about it then they are less likely to get "knocked up".
And these actors were good and just because they chose a role in a movie that does not make them a bad person. Thats just stupid. |
